Bake Day Surprise

These are really super!

fresh bread dough
3/4 cup cream
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon

Form bread dough into buns and place in a greased 8x8 pan. Combine the rest of the ingredients and pour over the buns. Let rise until double in size. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 30 minutes.

Two Hour Buns

3 cups warm water
6 tbsp sugar
6 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp instant yeast
2 eggs
7 to 8 cups flour

Mix dry yeast with 4 cups flour. In separate bowl whip together eggs, sugar, oil and water. Add the flour and yeast mixture; blend well. Add remaining flour and salt; knead. Cover; let rise 15 minutes. Punch down and let rise 15 minutes. Punch down and form into buns, *cinnamon buns, etc. Place in greased pan; cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 to 18 minutes. *Cinnamon buns do not need to rise 1 hour.

Easy Refrigerator Dough

This makes nice sweet dough and is super for pizza crust.

2 tbsp yeast
2 cups warm water
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup shortening
1 egg
2 tsp. salt
6 to 7 cups of flour

Dissolve yeast in water in large bowl; let stand in a warm place 10 minutes. Add sugar, shortening, egg, salt and 2 cups of flour. Beat. Gradually add the rest of the flour. Knead for 1 minute. Put in the refrigerator in a covered oiled bowl for up to 4 days. When ready shape into buns. Let rise until double and bake at 400 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes. This also makes 3 pizza crusts.
