Slow Cooker Stuffing

1 package dry chicken noodle soup mix
1 cup water
3/4 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 cup chopped celery
3 medium onions, chopped
2 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
3 tsp parsley
1 1/2 tsp sage
8 cups cubed bread

Boil soup mix and water together until broth is dissolved. Cool. Melt butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add onions and celery. Cook and stir until soft, but not brown. Remove from heat. Stir is seasoning and soup mixture. Place bread cubes in a large bowl. Pour the celery and soup mixture over the bread and toss lightly until well combined. Pour into slow cooker and cook on low 3 to 4 hours. Makes lots!
