Corn with Basil

3 cups fresh or *canned corn
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup diced celery
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
2 tbsp butter or margarine
1 tsp dried basil leaves
1/2 tsp salt

Cook and stir fresh corn, onion, celery and garlic in butter in a 3 quart saucepan over medium heat for about 10 minutes, or until onion is tender. *If using canned corn instead of fresh, add 5 minutes into cooking time. Stir in remaining ingredients. Reduce heat. Cover and cook 3-5 minutes, or until corn is tender.
